Chrono Trigger (Part 93) - Son of Sun

We hear about the sidequest of the Sun Stone, so we head to an island area known as the Sun Palace in 2300 AD. Here we fight Son of Sun.

This is an interesting boss encounter. First of all, Charm Black Mail from the center. After that, you must hit his flames and randomly, one of the flames hits him if you guess correctly. After awhile though, he'll randomize the order again so you have to keep guessing.

Have everyone wear the best flame-resistant or absorbant armor for this. Red Mail, Ruby Vest, and Ruby Armor are great for keeping the fire damage low.

MegamanNG said this was the hardest fight. It looks more annoying then hard, especially since if you have fire absorbing armor then most of the bosses attacks will heal instead doing damage.

some ppl cannot figure out this tactic on how to defeat the son of sun. They know for awhile that they have to hit a fire but dunno which one.

One tactic that can be use is to equip someone with a fire absorbing armor or resisting armor just like this video, the other part of the tactic is to use a char that wearing a absorbing armor and use a low mp skill that hit all enemies, and of course, the one that does not counter is the one you should hit

I use Magus' Black Hole and turn it from a 1 in 5 to a 1 in 3.
