I don't know what messed up kind of Christianity you have heard of but there is no sin Christ won't forgive. And he give us chance after chance to accept him but some people ultimately refuse, and God loves us enough to let us have free will and decide our fate the way we choose. If I believed in the “holy spirit” and then tortured, raped, and killed people, I would just need to be sorry and cannibalize Jesus and I would be forgiven. But apparently doubt is a worse offense than murder because Yahweh won't forgive it. He will let you walk for massacring people but he will burn you forever for thought crime.
