Some of the comments in this video seem to be taken out of context. And the presence of the national guard in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina was a necessity. Looters were all over and in some cases aid workers were attacked. The national guard were called in to protect people who were in danger from others. There was way too much going on for the police alone to deal with.

Should we make that a precedent? Should we avoid the posse comitatus act (RIP 1878 - 2008) and allow troops on our streets? What will this result in years from now? No military troops should EVER be allowed to police U.S. citizens, but you might drink the gov Kool Aid and disagree.

@LDG10k Brother what also happend was the police an Guard not protecting the people AKA the (DOME) for one the overwhleming majority were black. Then the disarming of law obideing citazens. The fact that the president did nothing right after the event. Hell bro. If they wanted to protect the people they could have deployed an airdrop of men first then matterials which was out of the question.

Funny though even WallMart had a fleet of trucks on the Roll heading there that was Stoped By FEMA.

Pal get your dates an facts inorder. Each state can call ou the guard or ask assistance from other ordering States in the event of disasters. The ploy used dureing Katrina was first Containment. then Disarming the public. They did not go out hunting for bad guys dureing this. It was just the citazens who fell under the Marshall boot. Whats next send in the troops when theres a Hockeygame on that just incase
