@XDesperateRomanticX yes, but what im saying is it's not conductive to nero as a hero. it came off as "It's a DMC game so we need to have Dante as a major part of the game" if they were really trying for something fresh then nero should have been frontline the whole game. i would have accepted Dante as a cameo or mentor or making him a boss which is what they did. however the sections you play as Dante just feels like fan service not really progressing nero's or the games story.

@hyuthestampede But Dante's more experienced with the whole demonic stuff compared to Nero. It's implied that there's also some kind of connection between him and Nero which explains why he wants to save Nero - which is why you back track half the game - but because of the re-boot, it's open to the fan's imagination.
