New to this version's military revamp and I sort of muddled through the military screens before this. Figured a lot of it out myself, along with the wiki, but I did not realize the militia commander was just an overseer and should be kept out of the actual military. Hope my current one is okay being demoted to captain... lol

@IHateCheapSkates Miners need pickaxes, and I only started the dwarfs out with two on this embark. Try trading for some more or making them yourself.
