SANJEEV KUMAR BHATNAGAR




A talented artist in Hindustani classical, Ghazal, Geet and Bhajan from Punjab. He started his training from Shri Prateep Ferozpuri in Delhi and after coming over to Mumbai in 1977 he strengthened his base in Classical music from Pt.D. V. Jadhav a stalwart and exponent from Jaipur Gharana.

In the year of 1996, he visited U.S.A. for the participating in the International Conference on INDUS - SARASVATI AGE AND ANCIENT INDIA held at Atlanta,USA from Oct.4 - 6, 1996. His performance was highly appreciated by the chief guest SHRI VASDEV PANDAY, PRIME MINISTER OF TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO. He has also performed at International Hindi Association in Cleveland, Ohio, and for the INDIA DAY celebration at Columbus, Ohio and also various public performances like at Troy Community centre, Detroit, MI, Indianapolis, Indiana, Nashville, -Tennessee.etc.

In India he has been giving public performance since 1987. He had an opportunity to perform with some of the renowned artists of India.He performed bhajan sandhya with shri Jagjeet Singh at Sai Baba mandir at Shirdi, in 1995. Performed with Penaaz Masani, Pankaj Udhas & Manhar Udhas at Sundari Hall, Ahmedabad in 1988. He had performed number of Classical & Bhajan programme beside Ghazal few of them like Classical Programme at Trinity club,Mumbai,an oldest club of India started 1903 at Dhobi Talao, Bhajans programme on Navratri at Durga Mata Mandir, Goregoan (Every year in Navratri) & Bhakti sangam Anushakti Nagar, BARC. Bhajans at Troy Temple (Detroite, USA) India Day celebration, columbus, USA, Musical Night on the eve of "Best of Navi Mumbai award function" at Vishnu Das auditorium, Vashi etc. A theme based programme Like Tunes of India, in which he had performed Khayal, Thumri,Dadra, Ghazal, Rage based film song, Bhajan, etc.,Organised by Life Science symposium -- 2006. Film songs programme - based on rage Yaman, Bihag,Marubihag & Bihagada organised by Samvad 2007 & 2008.




One of the major achievement to his credit is that he stood first out of 192 participants from all over India in the WORLD OF GHAZALS at All India Ghazal competition held at Ahmedabad on 17th Dec. 1988.

TIPS India Ltd., has released a Cassette on Ramayan Manka --108 in 2003. Music Composition and Singing is given by him for the cassette. Zen Films & Media has released a video CD in 2006 On Uttaranchal Hits, Music directed & sang by him.
