  • Want an AED? Look up American Med Supply on YouTube. You'll find we are giving an Automated External Defibrillator away, along with a bunch other awesome gifts. Nothing to buy, just register for the drawing.

  • what is it? what are the signs? do you often get pains in your heart, im getting realy fucking worried, i feel like im gonna have a heart attack, i get a sharp pain in my chest, and it feels cold, im thinking its steroids, but it cant be! i hope its not, i realy realy realy dont want it to be, i need them! is it common for steroids to trigger it or something?

    anyone?

    please.

  • I have enherited HOCM from my mother and it was diagnosed 13 years ago. When I was 18 I had ventricular arrhythmias and got an ICD. 3 years before that, my mother had died of it at the age of 50, HER mother died of it aged 34. Chin up, everyone else who is affected with this - my septum has a thickness of 38 mm and I'm still alive! Make sure that everyone you love has an examination for HCM or HOCM - only thereby we can prevent more senseless deaths!

  • I was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy 4 years ago, I knew something was wrong years before, as I would get light headed climbing stairs or walking up travelators, but I just put it down as vertigo, until one day I when was just walking up a slight incline in the street, I almost collapsed. I contacted my doctor straight away, and after some tests, (ECG, EKG ultrasound, and Angiogram) I was diagnosed with HCM.

Don't ignore the symptoms like I did, see your doctor immediately.
