That should have read think. So in short co19 sfo's do all london hostage rescue ect. Also their remit is to deal with armed criminals/terrorist with exceptional firepower or to dangerous to be deal by an other means. Also most jobs done by them have one or two sas member their (unarmed and not allowed on the job) for real world experience

@mrjondoeclsm well I guess you don't live in the United Kingdom then do you? For a start SFO has nothing to do with firearms as it is "Serious Fraud Office". Secondly, any firearm trained officer can shoot and kill someone. SAS are mostly called in for hostage rescue or other firearm issues. As for CT ( Counter Terrorism ) MI5 deal with that.

I don't think a us swat team would it in half the time. The officers where afo's and not sfo's (sfo's are the uk name for swat). Also in the end they got their suspect. Sfo's are only called in for cqb, hostage rescue, sieges and terrorist jobs ect.

I'll tell you, though, a U.S. SWAT team would have been done in half the time: teamapproaches in an unmarked van, rushes out, rams down the door, tosses in a flashbang, and half the team enters the residence to locate and take down the suspect. Props to Old Bill, though, for getting the job done.
