Some big dragonflies have a habit of hovering over a pond or a pool, just in order to patrol their territory. They fly all day, you can hardly catch them with a net. But, I don't suppose you have a liking of killing insect.

By the way, this is an Anax immaculifrons, from the same family as the Emperor Dragonfly (Anax Imperator) Anax immaculifrons is in Dutch called "Beekkeizerlibel", I don't know how it's called in English, maybe something like "Stream Emperor Dragonfly".

ooh! Pretty! There's a big near where i live and it's awesome because huge ass dragonflies constantly fly toward you and land all over your head, shoulder and sometimes on your stomach area.
