Links at bottom... Gayla Peevey recorded this wonderful song in 1954.The flip side is "Upsy Down Town", a very unusal song. This side is rather a sad song about a child who's dog has passed on. It tugs at the heart and brings a tear to ones eye.It appears they multi-tract her voice, which I think gives the recording more depth. This was her third recording for Columbia. Excuse the slight background noise from this 78 record. Enjoy

Note: Gayla Peevey now has an offical web site, where you may view her appereance on the Ed Sullivan Show "Toast Of The Town", There is also other information on Gayla Peevey's career. You will also find many of the songs I have up as Gayla Peevey and Jamie Horton. Please Visit. Link for the site is http://iwantahippopotamusforchristmas.net/gayla-peevey

  • @damama55 Your welcome.

  • I've never heard this song before. What a sweet voice, though. Thanks for posting.
