john wasnt techniclly the best player...but shit...he was very original,,,and creative...its not how many notes you play..its the notes that you play...
-
john was the first to,,strip the varnish off,,that casino..that made it sound different...any one who plays..knows that... it might not be the guitar that is off..it might have be the player...listen to the lead on get back...thats john.....actually he was going to..bring that guitar back to the original condition...{according to yoko},,,i think that epiphone was his other baby...

@mariane10121988 its not the fuckin guitar if your guitar has 6 strings you shouldnt have a fuckin problem i play an epiphone and theres no fuckin problem

@epiphonelespaul4 oh just shut your bloody mouth up... John's first guitar was crap too... Do you think after 15, 20 years of professional playing, and being a millionaire (if not a billion), John would use a crap guitar just because he is a good guitar player. He's not that stupid. He bought that guitar 10 years before, used it live in '66, painted it's back, than got all the paint off. It's obvious the guitar isn't good anymore.

a good guitar player could play any guitar and make it sound good. jimi hendrix first guitar was a 1 string ukelele and i bet he good even make that sound good.
-
I think he sums it up himself... "I just can't play it"
When the action is set too high, you have to apply too much force on the strings to get a good sound. This seems to be what John Lennon is complaining about here. Which is why he looks at his left hand.
He wouldn't have used it more than once if the thing was a piece of crap obviously.
