From 1973, here's first saxophone player Dave Edwards of the Lawrence Welk Orchestra and alumni of the Auburn Knights orchestra playing his solo of the jazz standard "Misty"

  • I love the beautiful, smoky sound produced by Dave Edwards. Very unique. This is the best rendition of "Misty" that I've heard. Lawrence Welk always had top-notch musicians on his show.

  • Real music.

  • Beautiful alto sax!

  • very romantic melody ~ i love it so much

  • Very nice prolonged cadenza type ending. I watch reruns of Lawrence Welk on PBS from time to time, but have not been fortunate enough to see Dave Edwards featured. Thanks for posting this

  • Dave sounds just like Rabbit on this. BEAUTIFUL !!!!!

  • Excellent orchestration.

  • WOW! He was fantastic. Dave died a few years ago. He is from my hometown Fairhope, Alabama. I graduated high school with his sister.

  • Very nice performance, but the video has been looped to make it longer. At 1:38 it loops back to :21, and we see the dancing again, and then at 2:51, where the performance looped back the first time, we see the real ending. Cuts were expertly done though

  • Solos from Dave Edwards are one of the reasons i liked this show so much. Shows like this are sadly gone forever.
