He should sing with a correct technique of low larynx or open throat so that people won't bash him anymore. It will help his voice to avoid another throat operation.

Peace? I didn't know we were at war :) The marketing machine may be a fact of life, but it is up to us to refuse to take things for face value and reject the brainwash. That is why we have a brain. Marketing has become too agressive. It pushes tenors with limited vocal dexterity to sing in "money-making" heavier roles, destroying their voices prematurely. Typical examples: Alagna and Villazon.

I agree with you on many things, more than you thought. In fact I am very much agree that marketing machine became impossibly agressive. The case of RV is truly an example. But (if you interested) he started new approach and seriously resisting this.

You cannot imagine how difficult this. I trust his intelligence and intuition.

@mondayblues5 I think Rolanda sings with complete open throat. He is exceptionally good. I dont think yiu know what you are talking about. His voice is very well projected. Beautiful sound.

Hay que reconocer que Villazon se entrega por completo en el escenario y eso, se agradece infinitamente, y porsupuesto es humano y la voz no siempre esta al 100% aunque su entrega siempre esta superior a ese %. Mucha suerte Villazon hoy y siempre, sigue con esa pasión por tus personajes.
