  • @jakemitra Hi, thanks for the feedback! This was shot from Babadan observatory about 4km from the top of Merapi. Was shooting on Sony EX1 XDCAM.

  • all of comentator here didn't feel the efect like me.

my house has been covered by vulcanic ashes at least 5mm. and no body leave their home. yeah absolutely like a dead city in magelang

  • @ridho141088 Hope you've managed to clean up your home, the ash fallout was really nasty around the north to SW areas.

  • Great video!! I know this volcano caused alot of damage and took alot lives but I can't help but see the beauty in this video and the others I've watched! Just breath taking!

  • EN LA PARTE DEL MINUTO 1.15 que es lo que vueia eso no me parecio una roca

  • Impressive video, James! With those adventures you can easier forget the quite typhoon season this year. These eruptions can be dangerous, many people was killed by pyroclastic flows in this region. Take care for continuing your good work.

  • You're an incredibly brave man Typhoonhunter and footage like this is highly educational, not only for us but also for kids.

I'd NEVER go anywhere near anything like that.

The most danngerous thing you'll get me doing is ice climbing on Ben Nevis in Scotland, but no way would I approach a roaring monster like an erupting volcano.

    Thank you for this film.
