  • I also live in England. Walk almost everywhere. I spend more than 2hr a day outside and have just been told by my GP that my Vitamin D levels are very dangerously low.

  • sorry.. go out in the sun for 30 mins a week. well get out of your big fat AC american cars, and walk somewhere. i walk to work every day, in england its not that sunny, but yeah if i ever meet some one who goes out in the sun for 30 mins a week id think there a slob, or something. K THANKS

  • Our bodies actually prefer to use 5000iu/daily vitamin d3.

    Food can only provide about 10% of our daily need.Oily fish is best with about 400iu a portion.

    As it takes months of using 40,000iu/daily before adverse events have been recorded it is simply no necessary to worry about toxicity. 10,000iu/daily together with regular sunshine is known to be absolutely safe. so taking 5000iu/daily is fine.
