Entire 25 minute Pyrotechnico Fireworks display as seen from Point State Park on July 4, 2011; 233rd anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Pittsburgh is known as the Fireworks capital of America because two of the worlds best known Fireworks companies, Zambelli Internationale and Pyrotechnico are headquartered in nearby New Castle, Pa. This year, Pyrotechnico got the contract for the downtown fireworks and what a performance it was. Typically, Pittsburgh is listed as one of the top 5 Independence Day celebrations in the country

  • That was amazing, wish I would have been there. Thanks for uploading.

It was a great experience being right at the heart of downtown at the confluence of the 3 rivers for such an exciting pyrotechnic display. I have been to NYC for their fireworks and honestly,I'm more impressed with ours! It's really one of the best in the country thanks to the local presence in New Castle. If you don't have time to watch the full 25 minutes, which you should, then the highlights would be the beginning to 1:40 and then minute 19 to the end. Pittsburgh=great place to live!

  • I think it was an outstanding fireworks show thanks for posting this video!!! Other folks are posting videos of bad locations because of the weather and blaming the great folks that put on the show. Hey who can control the weather. You guys at pyrotecnico are great.

  • Was an amazing show! I'm so glad that Pyrotecnico will be back again next year for the regatta. I would love to see them do some work for the Pirates too. Maybe have an every other show competition with Zambelli at pnc park. Anyways, awesome video. You had a very good vantage point!

  • Another fantastic show. Sooo disappointed the point still wasn't open but it was still amazing :) After the rain things went back to normal.

  • It was a great show and I was glad to be apart of it we had a 6 day set up in 80 degree weather but to see it back and to hear how everyone loved it ,makes it all worth wow!!!! Just wait till next year cause Pyrotecnico's back!!! I loved every second of the show and caint wait to do it all again!

  • @wpaforex I love Pittsburgh and have to get there for one of these shows in the future. The video was great but I know being there must have been amazing and that its was so much more heart pounding to actually see it in person.I live in Nassau, Bahamas but because I am such a big Steeler fan I come there every year. I love Pittsburgh and consider it my second home. Its the first place I saw snow too and that was Jan this year. I was there for the Steelers/Ravens playoff game.

  • i must add a thank you for the patient camera work! fireworks DOES deserve a HD recording and this one made my day (the 5th after) what a treat.

  • we were all amazed by the planning and execution of this display and honestly didn't expect it would keep going and going. a very enjoyable evening for everyone. lot's of placed out West didn't or couldn't have their displays this year due to weather or wildfire problems very very well done Pyrotechnico!

  • Now THIS is what I CALL FIREWORKS!
