eerie... Thank you.

Amazing, simply amazing! Thank you!

Why don't they combine Clara Rockmore's rendition of "Hebrew Melody" with that of Josef Hassid? Heifitz's may have been technically perfect, but it lacked the deep emotionality of the Hassid performance.
Combine Clara Rockmore with Josef Hassid - and the tears will flow, I guarantee. Both Clara Rockmore's and Josef Hassid's performances of "Hebrew Melody' were soul-wrenchingly beautiful...

I'm beginning to REALLY get into the theremin! But I have a question for theremin-enthusiasts: it seems almost unsurpassed in it's capability for melodic passages, but what about fast or technically difficult things like staccatos? I haven't heard any such passages yet on the videos I've seen. I would appreciate any info theremin players or enthusiasts could provide.

This is Wonderful, thank you for uploading this.

The God of violin and the goddess of theremin immerse into one.....wow is the most beautiful thing! Thank you for creating this!! It would be the soundtrack of my dream tonight :)

(cont) Neither Bob nor Clara would go through the ordeal of taking legal action against Delos for non-payment of royalty. They both were martyrs for the music.
For them, the presentation of her art was worth more than the money both of them might have gained, but got no thanks from Delos... ZIPPO, nada, NOTHING from the Delos-creeps. So, I am the angry one now.
She only wanted people to hear, and then, someday, surpass her art.
So far, how close have new artists come to her?

Pardon my spelling errors, please.
I know a great deal of Clara that she would want me to share with her fans.
BTW: of the Delos recording of the late seventies and the resultant DVD: Bob Moog engineered those recordings. Neither Clara nor Bob ever got a penny of payment, no royalties. The female owner of Delos, I forget her name, she was CEO or something, and simply stole the works and marketed the recordings for decades. This hurt Clara and it hurt Bob. I knew them both.

She was my friend. Google us. I can relate a story about her and Heifetz if interested. What year was he born? I will look up his bio, meanwhile and answer that myself.
See, they met at the St. Peterberg Conservatory,
she, entering there in 1915, at age four: the youngest admittance of a prodigy there, ever. Auer did that.
"Oh, I knew him well enough--when he was still in knee pants---he was older, of course, than myself, and very---obsequious" (exact words).

I was born on the same day as her :)
This video shows the marvelous similarities between the Theremin and the violin.
The coincidence is that Clara Rockmore was a violinist, but suffered repetitive motion injuries to her neck that forced her to terminate the violin and play the Theremin instead. Hence, she developed a good ear for the violin sound of the Theremin, as opposed to the "bleep-and-squeak" of modern electronic musicians. They could learn from her.
