I have a couple pairs of jika-tabi and I ordered a pair of the indoor tabi. They are seriously the most comfortable footwear on the face of the planet

@TolstoyKafkaEvsky Kind of hard to find non steel toed ones in Japan but it doesn't really matter.

2:44 or what I would like to call them douche bags with no class
anyway, very nice boots you have there

@NoLimitzPlz Google "japan zone store", it will be the first link. They have a pretty good selection of jikatabi. I haven't ordered anything from them, so I can't vouch for how good they are. I will probably end up ordering a pair of jikatabi from them.

i wore cowboy boots to a walmart yesterday and not to be racist but they were mexicans who wanted to be black and they kept looking at my boots
would u recommend for free running. saw in game Mirror's edge, character has them, but in real life, a 5-10ft drop with no cushion could hurt, so what do u think???
will pm too

Free running? Hell no. They're not very comfortable or supportive. If you want to free run, get some tennis shoes.

@assassin32320 Well these aren't real jikatabi, real tabi shoes that I wore in Japan have steel over your toes and one the sides. They're EXTREMELY light weight and would be perfect for free running. You cannot describe the feeling of wearing real tabi. Imagine having the security of a american style work boot but the freedom of completely barefoot. Real tabi are amazing.

Well these were imported from Japan. A quick look at information on the web says that they don't have to have steel toes (not sure how helpful steel toes would be on a cloth shoe, but whatever)

@TolstoyKafkaEvsky @TolstoyKafkaEvsky If by "imported" you mean bought on amazon or something, which is all the store you got them from did. The tabi I bought at a carpentry/hardware store in Hijirigaoka, Yokohama had steel over the toes, not normal steel blow at the tip, but actually a later of upsidedown "u" shaped steel or metal over the toes and it felt AWESOME. They looked the same as yours though. With the exception of just the steel of course. Maybe I'll make a video of them.

By definition Jikatabis don't have to have steeltoes. Yours might, but they don't need to be.
