This is incorrectly labeled. The band is Material (i.e. Bill Laswell). Whitney is a guest. It was her first recording as a solo vocalist. The sax player is Archie Shepp.

@tdablack: very simple, she did not choose this track to be included in any of her singles or albums; I just wanted to point out to Whitney fans who might be unaware of it, that this is a song coming from early 60's british rock-avantgarde group The Soft Machine, that Bill Laswell, leader of avant-funk group Material, later on decided to cover in 1982, for his album One Down, inviting Whitney as guest vocalist for this track. I find all this a nice crossover of music influences and styles.
