I live in Flushing too but I've never seen live chickens being butchered in storefront windows. I'm wondering which Chinse supermarket this is from.

I used to want to buy the turtles and frogs and keep them as pets.

Okay first of all, my friend is a manager at KFC for 12 years now, and they do not boil their chickens inside the store, nor at the factory. I had him cover that part as I am an animal activist. However, there are other businesses that partake in the suffering of animals (ie animal cruelty) for the sake of fast delivery of shipments of food. Sad.

i read on news report from like yrs ago that a group of 25 ppl went to one of these markets, and bought every turtle, but the only thing tht they said was that this was horrible, cruel and mean. and they, shouted too. The owner never brought turtles in again.

*cough* beijing = china. and most are in chinese or japanese. and i think ure over exadurating it a lil. fish heads and entrails dumped in the streets... nah. live chickens being butchered in storefront windows... nah every sign in either korean or chinese... its a language, cant blame them, its like me (whos chinese) looking at seattle and saying "every sign in english (but never chinese). talk about a nightmare!
