@AlphaRex1000 no.. i dont think YOU get the joke. that isn't it AT ALL she says 'all the guys i've been out with have been really STUPID..touch wood' then she KNOCKS ON THE WOOD OF THE TABLE with her fist (its a superstitious thing, dont know if other people outside of britain do it, evidently not seeing as how few people understand the joke, google it)
but when she knocks on the wood, her date is stupid enough to think that there is someone at the door. i.e. he is stupid like her past dates.

@AlphaRex1000 are you having a laugh? the whole joke was that she knocked on wood hoping that this time her date wouldn't be stupid like her past dates, and he thought her knocking on the table was someone knocking at the door which was meant to show that he, like her past blind dates, was stupid.
