I think it's amazing.

It definitely DOESN'T deserve all the criticism. Sure, the plot is linear, and it's different from the others, but that doesn't mean its BAD. Most people compare with FFVII, (never played it, but from what I know of video games) the definition of RPG is forever changing, and so are the Final Fantasy series. These days, most games are hybrids anyway. And the characters are deep, despite what everyone says. Whatever.

This acctually suprised me but, this is my second favourite Final Fantasy game (Second to VII of course). I really cant understand why it has been criticised even by FF fans. This was a truly breathtaking game, the Graphics, the Battle system, the story, the characters, the near enough endless gameplay, just everything blew me away.

If your a "true" FF fan then you can see that this really is an amazing game, and I would say it returns to how Final Fantasy used to be...

As far as what some say about FF games and those that are stuck on the epicness that was FF 7. FF 10 was the first that took a visually compelling and strong story driven direction. Lots of emotion, struggle, companionship and overcoming defeat. This game also goes hand in hand. The story is amazing. I love all FF games some better than others this one goes up among my top 3 of favorites. And to top it off. The visuals were mind blowing. Only one word I can use to Describe FF XIII, Beautiful!

It's a shame Fang isn't playble in this game. Fang most come back, Vanille can stay where she is... But i looked forward for this game for over a year now!!

I haven't played it yet (and maybe never will because I cant afford PS3) but clearly, the freakin' new game play is awesome! This time, proper skills are needed! Also, the story and places are vast but I guess also surprisingly little space to move and interact like other FF (e.g. FF10). Anyways,

"All hail to the starter of the new generation of FFs! FFXIII."

P.S. How many Espers are there? And is it still called espers? =DD
