Ch.18

Last chapter everyone went to Country Buffet. Nick wasn't watching his blood sugar, so he fainted.

REMEMBER: Joe and Nick kept fighting. It was because of Nick's blood sugars, it made him have mood changes. Also, Kaitlyn really really cares about Nick, and he about her.

Nick wakes up in a white room. He's laying down.

Nick—Am, Am I dead?

Kaitlyn--*sitting next to him. And answering with a weak and hoarse voice* No silly. You're just in a hospital. *Nick looks at her*

You could tell she had been crying. Her eyes were red, from her rubbing them. Her voice was weak and hoarse. There were tearstains on her dress. She also looked really tired, like she had stayed next to him and never moved.

Nick—Why am I in a hospital?

Kaitlyn—Your blood sugar was acting up. You fainted.

Nick—Oh, right. How long have I been asleep?

Kaitlyn—For about 20 hours now.

Nick—Really? *Looking at the clock* wow. Wait, how long have you been here?

Kaitlyn—The whole time. *Smiling weakly*

Nick—You need to sleep.

Kaitlyn—I'm fine. I can't sleep when I'm worried anyways.

Nick—Ok*sounding unsure* Hey, since I'm the one in the hospital, could you do something for me?

Kaitlyn—Sure, anything.

Nick—Kiss me.

Kaitlyn*smiling*--Okay.

Kaitlyn leans over and kisses him. The kiss is cut short by Joe running in the room with Kevin walking after him.
Joe—Oh my gosh Nick. You're awake! Oh thank goodness. *He collapses at Nick's bed* I'm soo sorry. I'm sorry I fought with you over such stupid things. I'm really really really sorry.

Nick—Dude, It's okay. I forgive you.

Joe—Thank you so much.

Kevin—How're you feeling lil bro?

Nick—Better, now that I'm awake.

Kevin—That's awesome.

Katie comes in the room.

Katie—Is he awake?

Nick—Yes, he is.

Katie—Oh that's good. I was worried about you. And Kaitlyn. *She pats Kaitlyn on the back* She wouldn't leave your side.

Kevin—Yeah. Not even for one second. She wouldn't even close her eyes.

Joe—Yeah, it was crazy. She wouldn't eat either.

Nick—Really? *Looking over at Kaitlyn*

Kaitlyn—*nodding* I was worried.

Nick—I can tell.

Breann and Emily come in.

Breann—OMJ you freaked us out Nick!

Emily—Yeah, I thought one of the best people in the planet was going to die!

Nick—I guess not. *He was still looking at Kaitlyn*

Kevin—*noticing Nick looking at Kaitlyn* so we are all going to go, to get something to eat for you and us guys. I'll get you guys...McDonalds? Okay. Awesome. Do you want any Starbucks?

Kaitlyn—I want a medium, whatever size they call that, Vanilla Bean. Please and thank you.

Kevin—Ok and Nick?

Nick—No thanks.

Kevin—Ok, see ya.

Breann—Have fun you two, but not too much.

Kaitlyn--*laughing* Okay Breann.

Everyone leaves.

Nick—Why did you do it?

Kaitlyn—Do what?

Nick—Stay here with me, and not sleep, and not eat?

Kaitlyn—Well, because I love you. I'm sure of it now. And you said you weren't going to leave me. And I want to return the favor.

Nick—You are way too good of a girlfriend.

Kaitlyn—You are way too good of a boyfriend.

She leans down to kiss him.

Breann and Emily burst through the door.

Breann—Kaitlyn!

Kaitlyn--*surprised* what? *Looking at them*

Emily—Hurry quick!

Kaitlyn—What happened?

Breann—You'll see.

Emily—Just COME ON!
