I was in two minds about putting this one up as I'm really not happy with its quality - I was using a different camcorder and I had continual problems with the autofocus, possibly because the window was slightly dirty. I'm afraid there is also quite a bit of camera shake :(

Anyway this is the takeoff of the BA2155 service from London Gatwick to Barbados. I've also recorded a longer version of the walkaround - click on the hotspot at the beginning to see this.

The aircraft is a Boeing 777-236, registration G-VIIC. It has General Electric GE-90-85B turbofan engines

  • how long was this flight and u must be rich...the ticket from london are sky high... and ur are able to afford first class..kudos to u!

  • @0152399 The flight from memory varies from around 8 hrs 10 mins to 8 hours 30 mins depending on the prevailing winds. I'm certainly not rich - Flying up front is one of those "50 things to do before you die" types of things :)

  • @2pb I know right!

  • @2pb Yes i have only been on first on a 777, and i am coming back from Washington on a 747 first in October, but going out on a 777. I have heard that the 747 as a much better first then the 777.

  • @poshbastardboy The flight was lovely. I'd really like to do F again sometime. - preferably on a longer flight and on a 747.

  • @2pb Oo yes sorry about that i just saw the wood work towards the end, did you have a nice flight??

  • @poshbastardboy Good spot regarding the announcement. What happens is that prior to takeoff the Cabin Manager visits each pasenger in First and introduces themselves :)

  • @poshbastardboy - Definitely was first. Towards the very end of the video you can just glimpse the sideboard by the 3 windows and the wooden effect surround at the end of the seat. Barbados has a regular First service - on some days there are 2 flights, the second of which is a 3 class 777 without First.

  • I flew with ba in this plane but to and from Antigua though. World traveller plus is nice. But I hate world traveller. @ poshbastardboy. Lol funny name but flights to Caribbean NEVER have first class for some reason

  • Same i was in first class and it was a very nice trip but the entertainment system needed upgrading is was on VIIE but on the way back i was on VIIW and it had a very good entertainment system!

  • @BAflyer12 i dont think he was in first this is because hardly any flights have first going from gatwick to barbadous! Also when the lady was making the anncoument she did not say who the first class perser was. which means there is no first, he must of been in business

  • @BAflyer12 i dont think he was in first, this is because hardly any flights going to bardbadous have first which
