This is some pseudo intellectual babble. I hope the nice music by Tchaikovsky and the funny images would make it interesting enough. This might get pulled because I used lots of footage from different stuff. I tried checking all the contents on youtube to see if similar things are there. A lot of the ones that are have a song or alternate sound and so does mine so it should be okay. Also all the clips are highly edited so the detection software will have a hard time matching it to some database. At least it might survive a few days so most of you guys can see it. I know I sound like a moron but I guess that's also something that adds to the video in some sort of ironic douche-bag hipster way.
This is really directed at atheists- I want to invoke a response and make a kind of dialogue. It's always fun when everyone is pontificating everywhere at each other.

  • The trouble with a nonobjective world view is furniture, especially low laying pieces, like settees and footrests. One would ever be tripping over them, should their otherwise tangible nature be chosen to be ignored.. Then there are stairways, these would become perilous indeed.

  • @pumkinpi2 You are a genius.

  • Religion benefits people?

    REALLY?

Have you ever looked up the ratio of crime, to religion?

The closer we come to understanding reality, the closer we'll come to peace.

  • Yeah, I was going to bring up the ratio of crime in the second video.

I like your sentiment about peace.

  • Nice use of clips my man.

Would it be a fair guess that you've read Richard Dawkin's "The God Delusion"? I'd highly suggest it if you haven't. There's a lot of interesting science to learn, if nothing else, but of course it confronts many of the questions you're raising here.

Me? I think the idea of subjective reality is an interesting fantasy and nothing else. You can belief whatever you like, humans can believe whatever they like, but it won't alter reality - only the way we interact with it

  • Thanks! I did read the God Delusion, I like it. I already have formed my opinions on this, I'm interested to hear everyone else's opinions and maybe get more subs with video replies.

My opinion does include an objective reality too, but I have to back it up and proclaim any assumptions I have to make to do it. Thanks for watching my video!

  • Religion introduces falsehoods into people's minds, making them believe in the supernatural, in life after death, and angels, devils, etc. This mental construction of the universe prevents people to adress important issues with a rational approach. It makes people believe they are not part of nature. It would take hours to explain how this is detrimental to humans and how any good coming from religion is offset by all this bad.

  • Make good points up until 5:14. Not all religions believe that. Buddhism may believe that but different religions have different teachings about that. The reason why Christianity is so persistent, is because they believe their beliefs are true.

  • I love the part with the puffer-fish.

  • Thanks, honestly most issues, and conflict originates from arrogance.

I like to say, that arrogance is a side effect of ignorance.

  • WE make our own truth :D

I actually used to follow that philosophy :D
