I'm not Choosing to Let my only son watch me Die a horrible Death!! It's my 22nd day of being a Non Smoker and it feels Great!! SO MAKE A QUIT PLAN/QUIT TODAY!!

  • @Poisonshady313

Quit smoking 3 years ago cold turkey, had a few "moments" since but the last year the smell, taste etc make me feel sick.

  • BTW... I promise, this is not SPAM. I don't work for Easyway. I just read the book, I've seen it work, and I believe it really is the best way for a smoker to become a non-smoker.

  • What needs to happen for a smoker to quit permanently, immediately, inexpensively, and not just painlessly but indeed joyously, is for them to learn the truth about why they smoke and to destroy the myths and illusions smokers have about why it's so hard to quit.

The best way, and the only way I'll ever recommend, is Easyway.

The Clinc/Seminar/Webcast (depending on what country you're in) can be costly, but the book 'The Easy Way to Stop Smoking' by Allen Carr is $15 and it works.

  • The painful and dreadful withdrawal pangs a smoker experiences when trying to quit is a physical manifestation of a psychological problem... that fear that I mentioned. That causes stress and anxiety which cause those unpleasant withdrawal pangs. And the smoker who (wrongly) believes that smoking relieves them of stress and anxiety feel the only way to defeat those withdrawal pangs is to surrender to them and smoke.

  • The physical addiction to nicotine is real, but it isn't what makes quitting hard. What makes it hard is the fear of being deprived of a crutch or a pleasure that a smoker believes he or she cannot live without.

Patches, gums, pills, shock tactics, will power... none of these do anything to remove that fear, which is why months after a "successful" attempt to quit, the "ex smoker" is going back on the gum or the patch or the pill because "it worked so well last time".

Absolutely. Forget tobacco for a moment. All by itself, nicotine is a terrible drug. Look it up.

Even if you "stepped down" by using the high nicotine setting, then the medium, then the low, then none, you'll either be back to smoking (either e-cigs or regular cigs) again in a couple of months, or else live life held hostage by the fear of relapse.

  • @BooBerryKitten

This is terribly misleading. Yeah, it'll get you to stop smoking cigarettes, but you'll still be addicted to nicotine. E cigs are not intended for, tested for, approved for, or recommendable for kicking one's nicotine addiction.

Imagine telling a cocaine addict that they could quit cocaine by switching from freebasing to snorting.

Changing the intake method is certainly a healthier alternative for the hopeless addict, but don't suggest that it's a way to quit nicotine.

  • i have stopped smoking, this will happen to me?
