Feb 6, 1983, At the National Concert Hall, video companion to the album of the same name. Note, while they're singing acapella, there's no clapping like on the album, nor is there any backup harmonizing. That was all overdubbed in studio for the album

  • Our Revenge Will be the Laughter of Our Children

  • RIP Tommy and Liam. Yous were great!

  • @brittanynoel02 Exactly what I was thinking, actually XD/

  • @brittanynoel02

    Snort....your too funny.

  • is this about voldemort?

  • loose lips sink ships...dead men tell no tales....my science teacher always told us this to keep us quiet haha

  • im squeeling like a pig........lol

  • Where did you get this video, can it be bought on VHS or something? Thanks

  • I've never heard this song before, but "whoever" wrote it, "you know why" they won't claim authorship.

  • a song writing by Colm Sands

  • we need some musicians like Makem and Clancy, most of the singers nowadays are just crap

  • stripped down buck naked, bullet in the head and left to rot in black bin bags, thats what youll get, so you may say fuck all

  • You know what you'll get. A shallow hole in a waste dump off Penny Lane......

  • Reminds me of the Barrand/Roberts song, A Present from the Gentlemen.

  • From a 1920's union song in the North of England, to a favorite of various underground movements, to being used by (or in support of) the Provos, to the Reagan/Bush I era of paranoia, to the recently completed reign of Bush II, this little piece keeps coming back and stays useful. I've heard a dozen people modestly claim credit (for themselves or their family or whoever) as author. I used to assume Tommy wrote it, it's that good.

  • heard the Sands family sing this. love it.

  • As far as I know , this song was wriiten by Colum Sands , one of the Sands family from near Newry, and is about the Troubles in general not just or particulalry the IRA.

  • You know who loves this song?, you know the one who we can't speak of - but don't mention this or you'll get you know what!

  • Loose talk costs lives. Whatever you say say nothing!

  • I know exactly what he's talking about......I LOVE Tommy Makem.

    Whatever you say, say nothing.

  • I was thinking the same thing
