I guess for this electronic system to work by sense of tag or light medium blows/hits would be a fairly thin metallic improvised sword that will be able to tranfer the electrical signal down the shaft of the sword through the electric jacket from what the oponent is wearing, the only downside to this system is that the blows may not be as hard as a rattan but it will be more accurate.

Well I guess the system that I am talkinh about would be much differen't than using a rattan but even the rattan isn't that accurate enough when it comes to a 1 on 1 fight because the movements of the rattan swing blow agaisn't an oponent in combat moves way to fast for anyone to even tell who get's hit and this is including the marshals not just the players them selves.

@Dimitri0809 I'm afraid I still don't see what you mean by it not being accurate, is it the fact that if you get hit in the head but the opponent didn't hit hard enough?

@wolfdragga to keep the honor system in practice but with electronics you won't need to and it would be far more accurate than an honor system. I'm not trying to displace the tradition on this sport I am just suggesting new ideas that will help aid in scoring and to make the playing expierience more accurate for some, there are alot of people I know that have trouble with the honor systems accuracy of gameplay but your sport is good in concept though if only the tagging cont..

@Dimitri0809 they're much like martial arts tournaments, they don't have electronic scoring but two ref's watching the strikes...

Ok sorry I didn't mean to offend but it's just hard to get through to you that's all, because everytime I suggest a new idea to this sport everyone in this organisation just becomes stuborn and doesn't really care about trying a new innovative way to keep track of a score or the use of electronic devices for tagging.

Serisouly I have done SCA but I do have a problem with the honor system it's just not accurate enough, I know it's tradition to this group to cont..

@Dimitri0809 ok for one thing I have not insulted you so I don't see the reason to be insulting, and since I do not sport fence i didn't know if they had wireless, last i saw in the olympics they had wires. and in my last comment i pretty much said we don't have electronic equipment unless it's vital, generally we try to be as "mundane" free as possible. But why don't you find your local S.C.A group talk to their knight and or marshal and address these issues with them.

Are you stupid, ever heard of wireless??!! And why do you keep trying to avoid or say you don't want to use electronic equipment.. it's not going to hurt anyone. Seriously what's wrong with you I'm not trying to be mean but these ideas are not impossible!!, it's not that hard or difficult to play this sport with electronic scoreing aid. JUST GIVE IT A FUCKING CHANCE MAN! GOD...!!
