Electric flute (new edit, with better sound quality)

I had to edit a new version of this video, because the first one had so bad sound quality!!

This is the world's first real ELECTRIC FLUTE!
It's owned and played by Jimi Tenor.
This prototype was completed in 5th of may 2009.
After that it it has been played in 30 gigs by Jimi
all over Europe!

What is the benefit of playing an electric flute if it sounds the same as an acoustic one? O_o Electric pianos make some sense - they're way cheaper to buy and maintain (though they still have their drawbacks for advanced players), but that doesn't strike me as true for an electric flute. Plus it looks heavy! Is it hard to practice with for a long time?

Did you read my comment above? It is much easier to play than a regular flute, it´s hard to understand if you don´t play flute yourself.. Maybe you understand it better when you see our next version, it should be ready soon.

You are right about the weight, this one is quite heavy (about 800grams), although it is made of aluminiun. Still you can play it longer than regular flute, without getting your hands tired!

I have made some upgrades on this one too. I´ll try to post a video of those too!

This is actually an acoustic flute, only the pads are electric.

There is this electric flute kit on the market, that you can use on

a regular flute to amplify the sound or use differrent effecs..

Our proto flute is an acoustic alto flute, it can be played even with

one hand, or with some other instruments fingering.

For example this gives a possibility to make really low sounds, as we can

place pads meters away from the player.
