Hey guys WELCOME to NLE Battles. This first battle will be fought by FCP X and Premiere Pro CS5.

This is a series I have had in mind for quite some time now, and I am proud to announce its existence. We will determine what NLE is best suited for Modern Professionals by analyzing these programs per rounds.

Several rounds will be fought and those with the most rounds won will be given the Modern Pro Title!

Thanks so much, subscribe and spread this out, I would like to see many people tune in, would be appreciated! Let's do this!

  • I subscribed... you've got some great videos! I hope we will see some videos on Adobe Premiere Pro, cuz I'm on a PC and therefore can't use FCP X

    Keep up the awesome work!

  • @notmuchhowaboutyou Hi Thanks :) I will get back on the saddle once the holidays settle down and my schedule is worked out! Have much to show! Thanks and stay tuned!

  • Are you well versed in Audition, Bridge, Encore and Live Story? One has to remember the tight integration between all the Adobe Programs. Folks claim that Soundtrack Pro has been added into FCP X but that is not true. You would not want to use FCP X for sound studio work like Audition. FCP X is not geared for multitrack recording. Not to mention just like FCP 7, FCP X users are forced to buy Premiere Pro for Encore if they want to author interactive Blu-Ray disks with fancy motion menus?

  • @adobePC Hey how's it going. Yup, certified in all suites ;) Yeah I agree everything that FCP X "offers" except that part of Sound Mixing, it's capable of very basic mixing, it could be harnessed to a better potential but you will need a lot of patience. The encore manipulation of creating DVDs does not necessarily need Premiere to function properly but it can be used to simplify the process dramatically. After Effects would be a must in that case in order to make "fancy" menus.

  • @adobePC In this case, the "rounds" per say will be based upon the independant factors these NLEs carry, of course integration with other programs will be analyzed as well but in this case it won't be an emphasized factor.

  • @adobePC Thanks for watching!

I am looking forward to the series. I think mentioning that Encore comes with Premiere Pro would be wise.
