General. Sharon's military genius won the conflict for the IDF. The Israeli Generals who had tried to get him kicked out of the army for protesting that the Israeli 'Maginot line' along the suez was an utter useless and expensive project. Like Patton he believed fixed fortifications were a monument to mans stupidity.
2nd: If you are referring to American Generals I think that is grossly offensive to the Skills and sacrifice of the Generals that serve America like Petraeus and Abizaid.

A couple books that I have read that give some good info on what really happened are: Exodus and The Source. Both excellent books and the history is indisputable.

But I was told that Egypt had an overwhelming victory. Are you saying that the Egyptian government lied to me!?

Yes, you were lied to. You can't change history, the problem is people don't research it for themselves and read the latest history book or believe their teachers. How many people truly know about what happened in America in the 1700's and 1800's? Not many, because many either don't care to find out, or read the old text books.
