That cyst could have been a malignant tumor. A sample should have been taken. Unfortunate tendancy of mastiffs.

Oh for christ's sake that's not the fucking anal gland, it's a fucking cist! A cist is a boil that grows under the skin, kinda like a really highly infectious zit. It's smart they wore gloves, but anyway, a cist is a very clogged poor and it doesnt surprise me that this cist on the mastiff is next to the anal area. It's more recommended that you take the person and or animal to the vet/doctor even before you mess with it, it's highly contagious.
