Southern Afghanistan. Several Afghan men talk about their life, just before Februaries series of bombings. Comparisons are made of life under control of the Afghan government and the Still dominant Taliban.

Also discussed is they problem civilian casualties cause resulting from the bombings over the last six years. The Taliban are able to use the negative impact of the loss of civilian life to encourage the Afghan people to become sympathetic to their cause, while the international community and the Afghan government loses support.
