Microsoft office is the standard. Practically all schools and offices use micrsoft. The sad truth is; you should be really familiar with office whether or not you think iWork is better.

Yes you're right. I think that Excel is better than Numbers but it's just my opinion.
The problem with iWork is that, even though they say that is completely compatible with Office files, it's not really that way. Many people experience problems opening Office files in iWork.
So, even though iWork is very good, I would go for MS for Mac...

applelover.....you could probably do that neway over here....or atleast at a lot less expensive price.....so many places sell software(copies) for a couple dollars.....office 08, iwork, macspeech,..and so on ...i live in thailand and i find these places everywhere....

You should try office 2007 on Windows - you will be surprised!!! Office (for Windows) is so much better than iwork!! (only Keynote is better than Powerpoint).
