Love Diabetes: Hundreds of thousands squandered from JDRF

http://www.lovediabetes.com -- The New York Times reported an internal audit at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) discovered two men had squandered hundreds of thousands of dollars from the non-profit organization. The two men responsible, Jonathan Stenger, national director, and Jason Brown, national manager, were dismissed late last year. Here are a few choice words for these men, in light of their insulting embezzlement. Families, friends and loved ones raised these funds to research and cure Type 1 diabetes. Shame on you! Or am I missing the Robinhood moral of this murky story? Please let these men know how you feel about their cavalier misuse of funds. Do they not know what life with diabetes is like?

I've said this all along, donate to the source and not the bogus 'foundation' that exists only because of type 1 diabetes...they do not want to cure it!!, its really that simple!. they want to turn a blind eye and fund these obscure/mundane/far fetched alternative treatments that are least likely to amount to anything at all so they can stay in business. Its criminal what the JDRF does. If your going to donate, mail a check to LCT in new zealand or dr. faustman's lab, they'll appreciate it!

I am on the list of possible candidates for Phase2 of Dr. Faustman's human trials with doses of BCG. With this I have decided to put all of my diabetes fundraising efforts towards THE CURE that will come from Dr. Faustman's lab. I have not had hope like this since I was diagnosed 30 years ago. For some reason I can feel it! Something special is going to happen from MGH! Keep an eye out for more from me...great job on this post and your website Allie! I'll be in touch. - Dave

I do not believe the cure is high on JDRF's list, even now. Helping fund treatments is more like it, I have been active with JDRF raising thousands in the past few years relying that they were researching a cure. These 2 shitbags will get theirs, what comes around does go around.

When I started researching advancement of cures for Diabetes, Dr. Faustman stuck out like a sore thumb. Thus far she is the only one that has risked her funding and reputation to get as far as she has. see next quote

Another way of looking at it, if these shit bags have been allowed to squander the money, could this be a reflection of JDRF? Perhaps a cure isn't high on their priority list?

LOOSERS!! Hope they get a max sentence and enjoy life in jail. I also hope the organization will get as much of the money back as possible and back into the right hands.
