This is what the laser companies don't want you to know about their so called "Professional" safety glasses. Granted these won't look nearly as good, but they get the job done.

Sorry for the Bad sound quality: this is what you need:
1 set of safety glasses *you can get them from any hardware store*
1 set of Theatrical Lighting Gel: Primary Red
1 set of Theatrical Lighting Gel: Congo Blue.
Electrical Tape.
And thats it...

  • This is a large problem. If you have a near IR red laser you're getting no protection against a nearly full strength laser going straight at your eyes because you're "protected". You can't see it because it's IR yet it's still a full strength laser beam. You only get one set of eyes people, be careful. If you doubt me put your remote for your tv up to it and try and turn it on. It'll work fine....

  • NEVER EVER EVER MAKE YOUR OWN SAFETY GOGGLES!!!

YOU SHOULDN'T SAFE UP ON SAFETY, SOMEONE'S EYES ARE MORE PRICEY.

IMAGINE IF THE QUALITY DOES NOT HOLD UP OR WORK

WELL THEN IT'S BYE BYE EYES.

I SUGGEST YOU TO REMOVE THIS VIDEO RIGHT NOW PLZ!

  • @TekTakular Many safety goggles sold commercially dont even have ir protection

  • Part of this video is true. Safety glasses for visible lasers are just made out of the opposite color of the laser. for green- red, blue-yellow. Unfortunately he didnt mention that if your green laser doesnt have an IR filter, that IR energy will go right through the goggles to your eyes

  • so wait wich color blocks from violet /blue?

  • @GBoCookies

Hey... where'd you get this info from?

  • @ConfessHD ive been hit directly, for not even 1/10 of a second, im fine, i have a 100mw max, 50mw min green laser, but it did infact hurt my eyes, so im more careful now

  • @mikecdc97 Wow you are one lucky kid. If you got hit in the eye with a reflection or directly you'd go blind

  • @ConfessHD i dont use the glasses, was too lazy to do it, so i go ghetto style and go without them, and no im not blind

  • Your the biggest dumbass in the world. Take off the video because your going to make people go blind
