Police in riot gear have confronted hundreds of Penn State students who took to the streets after the ouster of football coach Joe Paterno. Crowds toppled a television news van. The students flooded downtown State College after Paterno and university President Graham Spanier were fired amid a growing furor linked to their handling of sex abuse allegations against former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky.

That is good news. We don't need any hot heads that fall prey to the mob mentality in the military...they could commit far worse crimes once given a gun and some level of authority.

The behavior displayed in this video is really, really shameful and embarrassing for the Penn State community. It makes you wonder if they teach critical thinking there.

Did you read the entire report, or just the summary/conclusion? The Freeh Report actually disagreed with itself...

Anyone who would do that are evil scum themselves. No decent person would ever commit any violent act for such a trivial reason.

None of those things make him any less of a psychopath. He chose to commit the unspeakably evil act of enabling a child rapist for over a decade. He thought protecting Sandusky was more important then protecting Sandusky's victims. Paterno was an evil heartless bastard

Yes it is one of the weaker riots. Doesn't make those who participated any less evil and moronic. As are all rioters. In addition, you calling me a hillbilly is completely asinine. I'm far from it. Nor is there anything here that would suggest it

Like I said, whether a person is from PA or not is irrelevant. Paterno's firing was 100% deserved along with all the penalties that has been handed down to the university. No decent or intelligent person could still defend Paterno. He chose to enable a child rapist for over a decade. All who support him still are heartless idiots

Being drunk is no excuse you idiot. They chose to put themselves in that position. The news of his guilt had hit already before his firing. Yes they are heartless, as are all who still support Paterno. They are crying foul over Paterno thinking he's a victim when the actual victims are the poor children then Sandusky raped.

look i'm sorry your not from PA and you don't understand Pennslyvanian culture and how we operate... Often times we think an American culture exists but it doesnt and in ur state maybe people thought Joe Pa should have been fired but here that was more shocking than the scandal

hahahaha thank you. one car gets tipped over and they think its the craziest riot ever in america. Outside of our army Americans are so sensitive. Most Americans are pussies that get offended at the smallest things or so obsessed with safety it's sickening.

Americans are so fucking unaware of what goes on outside the country it's really sad.
