Insights Part I : Canal Contact

This is the first of a series of videos I'm making, giving you an insight into different aspects of my life.

The insight you are watching today is how beautiful the canal is at dawn. I filmed this on the roof of my narrowboat on its mooring, having not long been back after a gig in a nightclub. The sun was just coming up, the mist was still clearing on the water, and the birds were chirping away... Absolutely beautiful!

I was quite tired and had had a couple of beers, so I was unwilling to be very adventurous with my brand new UV acrylic for fear of losing it in the canal...

The camcorder was set up on the back deck, so whenever I moved side to side the boat rocked, hence the scenery moving occasionally

I like the effect of the slightly moving boat with the camera and respect for braving taking a brand new ball up there.
