Acer HD 23" H233H Monitor Review

Here is my new Acer H233H 23" HD 1080P Ready monitor. This in my opinion has got to be the best monitor in its price point. With its Beautiful piano black finish and its 40,000:1 Contrast ratio it makes it one of the sharpest looking monitors in its Categorie. With Acer cutting away from its boring black matte finish on there typical monitors, it also allows them to integrate a new feature called the smart sensor touch. This makes the monitor 95% buttonless, makeing the power button the only true button on the whole monitor. Also has built in 5 Watt speaker for your HDMI in for Xbox 360, or HDDVD player, or any other HDMI device. hey i have prob i have exact same monitor and i got my xbox connected on it whit my pc but when i play on my xbox i try plugin in my headset on green thing on the back but it doesnt work it keeps giving me the lame sound of the speakersof the monitor and i dont like that so any help ?? i tryd everything :(

Power button - dead. Stupid Acer. 1 year 364 days. Someone tell me they don't have a self destruct build into this monitor. They think I'm going to buy another one? HA!

Is the only way to have external speakers by using splitters?

My power button failed under 2 years old. Look up on the web it is a common problem. I will not buy another ACER.

I do not like that you cannot open the monitor. If their is a problem you wont be able to fix it.

This is a great monitor. Used it for my PC and Xbox 360. I have had this 2 years now and use it heavily with no problems. Great picture and good looking.

I have this monitor. Great for the Xbox 360, terrible for the PS3 which I now own because my Xbox 360 died. If you own a PS3, get an HDTV. Not a HD Monitor such as this. Battlefield 3 on the PS3 looks dark, graphics look horrible. But it's not because of the game or the PS3, it's just not the right monitor for the PS3. I am going to get an HDTV soon.

There is no external audio jack on this monitor.
