The 1904 world series was supposed to be red sox vs the giants but the giants refused to play because they thought they were gonna lose so there was no 1904 world series.

@7916520 because john mcgraw, manager of the ny giants refused to play the american league champs for spite to ban johnson(al president) and also still called the new american league an inferior league. He changed his mind next year though because their WS pay was at least half of their yearly salary. bdog
