Created by Amy Cooper, the Vajra Pani Yoga Training reflects the intention of personal responsibility that we hold as yoga practitioners and teachers. Through this training we deepen our commitment and apply our studies, both inward and outward, in the spirit of serving others. Vajra Pani Yoga strives to integrate the physical health generating practices of Hatha Yoga with the ethical guidelines and transformative training behind yogic and Buddhist thought. Authenticity in body, speech, and mind promotes our greatest human capacities.

Vajra Pani is a Bodhisattva devoted to the enlightened mind, enlightenment not ultimately for themselves but for all. According to specific Buddhist teachings, his wrathful appearance in paintings, sculptures, and writings is in a warrior pose, dancing wildly around flames depicting the transformative power of awakening, and holding the vajra, the thunderbolt scepter, representing the power to cut through the darkness of delusion. For the yogi, Vajra Pani symbolizes the fierce determination required to remove obstacles and conquer negativity.
