Now you're getting the idea! Owners have to be the right breed, not the dogs.

fuck the BSL !!!

A pitbull kills someone, a mexican person kills someone. You ban the pitbull and kill them. You just give the mexican person some jail time and community service. If you ban a breed, you should ban a race. It's the same thing. How about you don't do it at all because that's racist (breedist) and wrong.

why don't they ban every dog then lol including chiwawa's, most of these dogs ain't banned aswell
-
why the hell is the lab banned

@CRFmxracer @gringamanda Dogs of any breed can b aggressive. It can be the result of fear, lack of exercise (pent up energy), lack of structure n discipline, dominance n abuse. So the answer to ur question is, YES, ppl have been bitten by those breeds. Biting isn't a trait any breed comes with - Unless of course, u breed the 2 meanest dogs u can find for that sole purpose - but often us people don't provide what our dogs need n a lot of times it's released thru aggression.

we must fight bsl...there are several organizations which will keep you updated on the status of bsl, who has it on their council agenda etc. then you write letters and if in your area, attend council meetings. speak up and stand up for these dogs!!!!!

@doglover091 "because of peoles stubiness and ignorince"

Is that a PUG at 1:56?!
Seriously? A freakin' PUG?
Shame on the ones who make these bullshit laws! ANY dog...any ANIMAL for that matter...can be aggressive if not trained and socialized properly!
Best dog we ever had was a big pit bull female that treated us like her pups. God I miss that dog every day! I'll never find another dog like that as long as I live!
Now my mom's chihuahua was the one that gave people nightmares...

@msmorewood @msmorewood BSL targets dogs with specific features "pit bull types", or dogs with a certian look. AGAIN, to everyone that doesn't know. BSL doesn't just go after pitbulls AND BSL doesn't only mean "BANNED." Means restricted as well. It depends on the ordinance and how it's written, and when it's passed in the counties purposed. When a ban/resticted ordinance is passed, the dogs with those featues will fall under the ordinance.

@msmorewood (continued) For me to be able to tell you ALL the counties, out of millions of them in this country, where these breeds have fell under the ordinance is impossible. My information comes from researching BSL/Dangerous Dogs Acts that have been passed. And respected sites. Learn and know what BSL is and then you will see why these dogs, such as Pug, Bosten Terrier, and French bulldogs fall under an ordinance.

@msmorewood (continued) They have features of what they call "pit bull types." Bull doggish too if you will. If they have a certain look of what will be banned or restricted, they will be banned or restricted. Period. Certian features make them a target. I have links on my profile, and you will have to research the ban/restricted ordinances on your own.

@ILuvMyPitbulls Bottom line. It all depends on the ordinance that is passed and how it's written. Shepards, Bulldog types, pit bulls on and on. BTW, working breeds have a higher energy level. So it doesn't surprise me about any bans or restrictions. And BOXER'S out of all dog's fit a pit bull type. A lot of boxer mixes look like pit bulls. AGAIN, depends on the ordinance. Nice to know they use an animal control officer and a vet to determine what breed your dog is by looks and if it falls under.

@ILuvMyPitbulls Depends on what the incident was, and what type of breed it was that sets of a petition for a ban/resriction. That will also determine what type of dogs will fall under an ordinance. Doesn't always mean just pit bull types.
