the german guy don't say "sinking", he tried to say "thinking", because the understand it this way. most germans can't say "th" so they just say "s", and sinking sounds the same as thinking.
There is no point in discussing this with you, since you obviously don't realise the fact that no matter how many languages you speak, the commercial is produced in Norway for a language school. They decided to use germans and the german language in this commercial, due to the fact that germans in general suck when it comes to languages. But you don't seem to understand what I am trying to convey to you, so either look up the producer of this commercial; Berlitz, or stop ridiculing yourself.
Don't be so offensive....it is not because Germans suck in languages. As an American that knows a lot of Germans from college, they have a tendency of over-pronouncing "z" , sometimes it sounds like they speak in plural, sometimes they confuse the "th" sound with "s". But you have to understand that the same can apply to the British "ou" sound or the hispanic "j" instead of "y" sound.
