This is a newsletter from the Bar Nels Social Club that used to be located in a coach house in the Ravenswood Neighborhood in Chicago.
It was a key club whose membership included Chicago Firemen, WLS employees, Employees of Riverview Roller Rink and others.
It was located in a coach house 1/2 block east of the Ravenswood line and a few blocks South of Belmont Avenue. The building was owned by Greg Luzinski's grandmother.
It was a fun group that my parents belonged to. They had picnics, bowling leagues , golf outings and would get groups together for Blackhawk, Cubs games and other events.
The club disbanded in the 70's when the property was sold. The building was converted back into a home and last I know still exists.
If you use to be a member or your parents were please send me a message.
