BÁS TONGUE -
http://www.projectartscentre.ie/programme/whats-on/1378-bas-tongue

Mother Tongue is in the emergency ward; each focal ag cryáil amach for the kiss of life. In this bilingual exploration of the fragile soul of Gaeilge, a Béarlóir and a subtitle operator slug it out with tongue tying, grammar wrestling, dictionary massacres and a mutant version of the Pepsi challenge. It's a celebration of language as weapon, chicaning into some farcical linguistics and a revelatory revival meeting for forgotten words. Fully subtitled bilingual theatre.

Praise for Magan's multi-award-nominated Broken Croí/Heart Briste.

"a nimble comic double act" Irish Times
"the most accessible and interesting Irish language play since An Triail" Sara Keating, ITM

Manchán Magan performs with Roxanna Nic Liam. Willie White directs.
Developed with co-operation from PROJECT CATALYST and Foras na Gaeilge.

Performed in Irish and English with surtitles.
