In this special report, Anderson Cooper 360 profiles Dr. Joel Hunter, senior pastor of Northland, A Church Distributed in Longwood, Florida. A longtime conservative, Dr. Hunter stepped down as president of The Christian Coalition of America because he believes that Evangelicals must care "for the vulnerable outside the womb, as well as inside the womb." The "Compassion Issues" we must address, he teaches, include sanctity of life, marriage and family, justice, poverty and creation care.
Most churches do not teach their congregation how to be a good steward of God's planet but there are many biblical passages that support this notion. From a Christian point of view, it's blasphemy not to take care of this beautiful planet that God created for us all to live on!

So he wants to control my economic liberties IN ADDITION TO my social liberties? Yeah, communism is a great alternative to bat shit crazy Christian extremism. Ugh...why can't Christians just support LIBERTARIAN platforms for a change? Is it so hard for you people to support non-intrusive, NON-nanny state policies??
