Wilkins Ice Shelf in Antarctic break-up! (2008.03.25)

A chunk of ice the size of the Isle of Man has started to break away from Antarctica in what scientists say is further evidence of a warming climate.

Satellite images suggest that part of the ice shelf is disintegrating, and will soon crumble away.

The Wilkins Ice Shelf has been stable for most of the last century, but began retreating in the 1990s.

ice shelf means ice that is attached to land but projects into the sea. the part that breaks off is the part oer the sea, and probably some off the land too. yes it happens every year and is reformed in the winter.

Can somebody tell me .. why the ice in MARS is fucking melting.... IF THERE ARE NO HUMANS THERE..... how is that me using a damn diesel engine truck is helping to the ice melting in Mars... oops.. maybe... ITS NOT FUCKING US.... climate DOES change.... deal with it... how is it that nobody can tell me how the weather is going to be tomorrow... but they can tell me ... how is it going to be in 25 fucking more years if we dont hug more trees today.
