U must have missed the point buddy. Planes may not be for everyone but for those of us that have the flying gene it is impossible to stay away. Also cars are boring and have been that way for years, there is no new innovation in the industry unless its a new stereo. I will stick with my aircraft.

@chillininlondon hey man, i did not want to piss you of or anything. and i don't think that i am some kind of expert. i just wanted to tell you that (for me) there is nothing better than flying a small plane. i'll assume that you are american: well, i (currently) live in colombia and an airplane is something useful here. there are trips of 75km (what's that in miles?) that take you 5 houres by car and 20 minutes by plane (both cities have rather big airports).

I'm just pissed because one can have $200000 in education and be looked down on by university people while making a measly "competitive" rate because we will not stand together for a higher pay rate, which is quite deserved.

Ever notice that a car/truck/boat/dogsled/whateve­r can do *almost anything a small airplane can do without the immense costs?

Just took my oral and practical last month for both my A&P at Everett CC, the best 2 years of schooling in my life and learned more about airplanes than i would ever know in flight school! But finding a job is f**king hard up the northwest. Boeing is way to selective and its harder if you never had a shop job before your 21 on your resume.

Well I live here in Ky myself and I'm getting ready to start aircraft maintenance school and I currently work at UPS, so lucky for me my school is paid for. Also to top that off UPS pays higher then any other company for aircraft mechanics. With an exciting career which is very rewarding you cant go wrong, just up, up, and up. lol
