REBAR sponsored this wonderful all-day reclaimation of parking spots all over the city. Many groups converted what was car storage to wonderful human uses.

I think it's great to see people doing something to remind others that the cities we live in don't need to be so utterly planned around cars. There's more space for cars than there is for the people who turn into pedestrians the moment they get out of them!
Doesn't hurt anyone, makes a good point, is fun, creates a feeling of community. Hope PARK(ing) Day comes to my town!
These assholes are taking up much needed parking in the city. Parking needed by people with jobs. Maybe these kids should get jobs instead of being losers on the street.
Their first PARK was in a parking space directly across from a rooftop public space, where they went to take pictures of their stupid little park. Then they blogged about it at length, yapping away about the lack of public space, without ever mentioning the large public space which -- let's review -- they WENT TO TO TAKE PICTURES. These guys are attention whores and wankers.
