Ler's hope McLaren's coming successor to the F1 gives the competitors headaches again.

Wisely enough they ignored this top speed nonsense, since nobody will ever reach those speeds anyways, and the focus is on "usable performance".

I've heard it will be a supercharged V8 producing 800+ hp. Let's hope they use a N,A, V12 again like in the F1.

And almost 20 years later, the McLaren F1 is still the worlds fastest naturally aspirated roadcar.

All the others that have gone faster use either superchargers or turbochargers.

Not to mention they develop around 1000hp and don't have a much higher top speed.

Unlike other hypercars, the McLaren F1 proved itself in racing too, winning the 24 Hours of LeMans against sports prototypes designed solely for racing.

Back in 1994, it was a huge step forward and nothing else came close at the time.

@levianthan28 lol ur so retarded the f1 hasnt been around the top gear test track ascari is british the ariel atom v8 is top of the top gear board which is british the mclaren mp4 is second beating the bugati ss and the aventador. the mclaren f1 can keep up with and even beat every other hypercar despite being 14 years old. And britian is the country bailing you out after the euro failed so badly so show some respect.
